I am fascinated with the beauty of flowers and the rhythmic processes by which they pollinate, seed, grow and blossom. I am in love with the beauty of doilies and lace and the intricacy of their organic patterns created by women’s hands moving in similar cyclical rhythms. And, I am intrigued by the designs in feminine objects such as hooks and eyes, pattern illustrations and women's shoes, and how they also emulate the shapes of seeds, stamens and petals as well as the intimate curves of a woman's body.

The designs I find in these natural and woman-made objects and their connection to the cycles of creation, growth and death connect me to something larger than myself, something ancient, primal and erotic.

Eckhart Tolle in his book The New Earth writes that our first discovery of flowers was a re-introduction to our Selves as conscious and spiritual beings.

I believe that flowers also wake us up to the sensual and feminine nature of all things in the universe.

Inspired by these designs (natural and woman-made), I create topographies of the erotic and sensual Feminine Archetype.
